(São Paulo / SP, 1979) Tatiana Blass’ artistic practice reflects upon the difficulty of communication through the use of cuts, dissimulation of figures, suffocation of sound and dissolution of matter, in order to highlight fractures of meaning and disagreement. Her work encompasses diverse fields of culture – theater, music, literature, circus – relying on distinct media such as painting, sculpture, object, collage, installation, video and text.

In 2013, Tatiana Blass was featured on Art+Auction magazine’s list of the 50 most collectible artists alive; in 2011, she was nominated for the PIPA Prize, having won the Jury Award and the Popular Vote Award, and was an artist-in-residence at Gasworks (London, England). In 2010, she was considered for the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation Grant & Commissions Program (Miami, USA). In 2008, she was shortlisted for the Nam June Paik Award (Germany), for which she exhibited at the Wallraf-Richartz Museum (Cologne, Germany).
